Kisaran, December 23, 2024 – The Faculty of Computer Science of Royal University held a public lecture entitled “Technopreneurship for the Young Generation: Turning Ideas into Business Opportunities”. This event took place on Monday, December 23, 2024, online via Zoom Meeting and the Royal University Youtube Channel.
This public lecture presents Mr. Edy Saputra, S.T., a technopreneurship expert and practitioner in the field of business technology, as the main speaker. In the session, he shared insights on the importance of innovation and strategies for turning creative ideas into real business opportunities in the digital era. "The young generation has great potential to be agents of change. The key is the courage to start, the ability to innovate, and the use of technology," he said.
The event was opened with a warm welcome from Vice Chancellor 1 of Royal University, Mrs. Dr. Rizky Fauziah, M.Ikom., M.Kom, which emphasizes the importance of the role of students as technopreneurs in the future. "This public lecture is an effort by Royal University to equip students with practical knowledge to be able to compete and create technology-based business opportunities," he said.
Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, Mr. Dr. William Ramdhan, M.Kom, also gave a speech. He highlighted the relevance of technopreneurship to the vision of the Faculty of Computer Science to produce competent graduates in the fields of technology and business. "This activity is in line with the faculty's mission to develop innovative and entrepreneurial students," he added.
This public lecture was attended by students from Information Systems Study Program and Computer System. The enthusiasm of the participants was evident in the question and answer session, where students actively discussed the challenges and opportunities in starting a technology-based business.
Through this activity, the Faculty of Computer Science of Royal University hopes to encourage the spirit of technopreneurship among students, while strengthening Royal University's contribution in creating a young generation that is competitive at the global level.
