Kisaran, January 13, 2024 – Royal University once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting technology-based educational innovation by holding a workshop entitled From Concept to Screen: Designing Engaging Social Media Video. This activity presented Prof. Madya Ts. Dr. Wan Aida Wan Yahaya from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia as the main speaker. The activity, which took place at the Royal University iMac Laboratory, became an event to develop the skills of educational staff in designing and producing creative video content for social media platforms.

The event began with an official opening by the Chancellor of Royal University, Mrs. Wan Mariatul Kifti, S.E., M.M. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of creativity and digital skills as key elements in supporting the communication strategy of educational institutions. "The ability to create engaging video content will help Royal University not only strengthen branding, but also increase positive interactions with students and the community," she said.

Furthermore, the Chairman of the Royal Teladan Asahan Education Foundation, Mr. Dhani Alhamidi Lubis, S.AB., M.M., also gave a speech. He said that the foundation will continue to support the development of the skills of Royal University educators through programs that are relevant to technological developments. "With this training, it is hoped that Royal University will be able to become a pioneer in the digital transformation of educational institutions in North Sumatra," he added.
This workshop not only provides theoretical material, but also presents direct practice that allows participants to apply the knowledge provided. Prof. Wan Aida shares techniques ranging from the creative process of content planning, effective shooting, to the process of editing and publishing videos that can attract the attention of audiences on social media.

This workshop is one of the concrete steps of Royal University in supporting the development of educational staff to be able to face challenges in the digital era. With the increasing role of social media in educational institutions' communication, the skill of creating interesting and effective content is an urgent need.


Through this activity, Royal University hopes that education personnel can be more creative and innovative in conveying information and building a positive campus image. "We will continue to develop similar programs to ensure that Royal University becomes a center of education that is characterful and superior in digital technology," concluded Mr. H. Anda Putra Lubis, S.E., M.M as the Founder of the Royal Teladan Asahan Education Foundation.
