Kisaran, December 10, 2024 – Royal University Career Services Centre successfully held Workshop “Master LinkedIn: The Secret of Students Getting Job Offers at Top Companies” on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. Held at the Royal University Campus Hall, this activity was attended by dozens of students who were enthusiastic about improving their personal branding skills through the LinkedIn professional platform.
This workshop presents experienced speakers, Izhar Syafawi, S.T., M.T who is the Expert Staff of the Royal Teladan Asahan Education Foundation. In this session, the resource person shared various effective tips and strategies to maximize the use of LinkedIn as a job search and professional networking platform.
“LinkedIn is not just a social media, but a powerful tool to open career opportunities. Students need to know how to build a strong profile, maximize connections, and attract the attention of top companies,” said Izhar Syafawi in his presentation.
The activity also includes hands-on practice, where students are invited to create an attractive LinkedIn profile, starting from the headline, summary, to showcase their experience and skills. The resource person provides specific guidance on how students can attract attention. recruiter and HRD from top companies.
Head of the Royal University Career Service Center, Mr. Raja Tama Andri Agus, M.Kom in his speech, said that this activity is a strategic step to help students prepare themselves to enter the world of work. “We want to equip students with relevant skills so they can compete in the global job market,” he said.
The enthusiasm of the participants was clearly visible during the workshop session, especially during the question and answer session where students actively discussed and asked for tips about job seeking and professional networking strategies.
With this workshop, it is hoped that Royal University students will be more confident and ready to utilize LinkedIn to develop professional networks and get job opportunities in well-known companies.
