Royal University Successfully Conducts Higher Education Accreditation Surveillance

Range, November 12-14, 2024 – Royal University has once again demonstrated its commitment to improving the quality of education through the implementation of Higher Education Accreditation Surveillance. This strategic activity took place for three days, from Tuesday to Thursday, at the Royal University Campus, and involved all elements of the academic community and full support from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).

This surveillance is part of Royal University's ongoing efforts to ensure the quality of education, research, and community service services according to national standards. The presence of a team of experts from BAN-PT is an important element in this process. The figures present are:

  • Prof. Agus Setyo Muntohar, ST., M.Eng.Sc., Ph.D. – Member of the Executive Board of BAN-PT,
  • Dr. Surya Anoraga, SH., M.Hum.,
  • Prof. Dr. Siti Fatimah, S.Pd., M.Pd., Ph.D.,
  • Bapak Ahmad Nur Rohman.

This surveillance begins with opening session which was attended by the leaders of Royal University, lecturers, education staff, and students. In his speech, Chancellor of the Royal University, mrs Wan Mariatul Kifti, S.E., M.M., expressed respect and appreciation to the BAN-PT team for their visit.

"We are honored by the presence of experts from BAN-PT who not only provide assessments, but also valuable guidance to continue improving the quality of education at Royal University. This process is an important step to realize our vision as a superior, innovative, and integrity university," he said.

Over three days, the surveillance team conducted a comprehensive evaluation of various academic and non-academic aspects of Royal University. This process included:

  1. Review of documents and reports related to accreditation standards, starting from the curriculum, supporting facilities, to the achievement of key performance indicators (IKU).
  2. Interactive discussion with lecturers and education staff to explore more deeply the implementation of the internal quality assurance system.
  3. Interview with students to understand their learning experience at Royal University.
  4. Direct observation to campus facilities, including laboratories, libraries, and classrooms, to ensure that the facilities and infrastructure support a quality learning process.

Royal University sees this surveillance not only as an effort to maintain accreditation, but also as a reflection and motivation to continue to innovate. This process is an important momentum for all campus elements to work together to improve the quality of education, in accordance with global standards.

The Chancellor of Royal University emphasized that this surveillance is part of Royal University's big step in providing real benefits to students, alumni, and the community. "We hope that the best results can be achieved, so that Royal University can continue to provide maximum contribution to the world of education, while creating a young generation that is globally competitive," he added.
